5th Annual Garage Sale Benefiting Mom’s House:
Planning with Purpose did our 5th annual Mom’s House Garage Sale from August 18th through the 20th. Thank you so much to all the individuals who donated merchandise to sell, time to set up for the sale and supplies so we had enough tables, tents, and tarps. We could never ro this without out all of your support.
2021 Events:
4th Annual Garage Sale Benefiting Mom’s House:
We raised just over $4000 for Mom’s House.
Planning with Purpose did our 4th annual Mom’s House Garage Sale from August 19th through the 22nd and the 28th and 29th. Thank you so much to all the individuals who donated merchandise to sell, time to set up for the sale and supplies so we had enough tables, tents, and tarps.
The garage sale was a great success because of all your help!! We actually ran the sale for 5 days this year because we had so many items.
Again, thanks to all those that made this such a great fundraiser for Mom’s House!!
2020 Events:
2020 Holiday Hoopla:
Planning with Purpose recently held our 4th annual Holiday Hoopla event on Saturday, December 5, 2020. This year’s event to ensure safety during the pandemic was held at Uncorked Creations and we had to limit it to a client event only.
We all commented on how amazing we were all painting the same picture, yet they look so different. Look at the group picture below and you can see how different everyone’s picture looks despite all using the same template and having the same colors to start with.
It was great to get out for a social event and still manage to be safe. Thanks to Uncorked Creations for helping us celebrate the holiday season!!
Collection for Veterans:
Our goal for items to donate to Wounded Warrior Homes was 250 items. We are pleased to announce we collected 599 items! Thank you to everyone who donated, we appreciate your support of such a worthy cause. Without your help, we would not have reached our goal. Thank you to those who have served, those currently serving, and all those who will serve in the future!

2019 Events:
2019 Holiday Hoopla:
Planning with Purpose held our Holiday Hoopla Event on December 6, 2019, at Jablon Studios. We created holiday ornaments out of layered glass. Each person added their own flair – making a snowman, Christmas trees, bells, and some chose to do abstract pieces. Of course, no one thought they were capable, yet they all turned out great. Be sure to look at the pictures.
We also took the time while we were together to sign holiday cards for Traci Taylor’s card project. Traci (one of the DJs for WHWK 98.1) has been collecting holiday cards that she and her family hand out to nursing home residents throughout December. We raffled off three gift baskets, with the proceeds going to Mom’s House.
We love getting together, having fun, and helping out other organizations all at the same time.
2019 Pumpkin Painting:
Planning with Purpose spent the day painting pumpkins with the residents and staff at Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on October 5, 2019. Just like last year, we had cider and donuts while painting pumpkins. Residents decorated their rooms and the facility with pumpkins. A lot of fun and laughter, and we are looking forward to doing this again!
2019 Carnival:
On August 22, 2019, we had our annual client appreciation event. This year’s theme was a carnival, complete with midway and great food. The highlight of the event was a dunk tank. Our clients played midway games to get golden tickets. Each ticket was good for a throw at the dunk tank to dunk either Gerri or Jen. All had a great time!!!
